She's skilled in helping young girls develop self confidence, self love, and help them understand their self-worth using practical and biblical tools. She hosts workshops around the DFW area speaking to young girls about their identity and sharing her own story letting them know that there is more to who they are than what they believe. A’Jah is originally from Dallas, Texas and is the oldest of 3 girls. She graduated from Texas A&M University- Commerce with a B.S. in Communications and minor in entrepreneurship. Having years of experience in leadership roles such as being the vice president over a girls mentorship program and being a peer mentor, she understand the importance and value of mentorship. Growing up A'Jah always had a passion for ministry and serving others, specifically women and wanted to give them what she lacked as a child. Her passion comes from her own experiences as a child. Growing up she struggled with her identity, had low self esteem, and often wondered what her purpose was. She understood the struggles young girls face from society and made it her mission to do something out it. During her sophomore year of college she heard the Lord tell her to start a YouTube channel called “The Purposeful Girl”. Initially she thought it was to provide a community for young girls just like her to have support in their walk with Christ, but later she found God turned it into so much more. She believes in speaking God's TRUTH about who people were created to be and believes that one day we will live in a world where young girls and women will walk confidently and purposefully.
